Ready to eat Madrid like you actually live here? Forget the tourist menus and dive straight into the city’s buzzing tapas scene with a local expert by your side. We’ll meet near the magnificent Royal Opera House, and as we stroll through the heart of the city towards the charming Literary Quarter, you’ll pass by iconic landmarks like the bustling Puerta del Sol and the stunning Plaza Mayor. Your guide won’t give you a boring history lecture, but they will share the fascinating stories that transformed Madrid from a humble village into the vibrant capital you see today.
This isn’t just a tasting tour; it’s a masterclass in the art of tapeo. You’ll experience the theatre of traditionally poured cider, bite into the city’s most famous calamari sandwich, and savor rustic, soulful dishes you won’t find in any guidebook. We’ve found the best spots, hidden in plain sight—all you have to do is show up hungry!
*Our tour ends with churros & chocolate every day except Tuesdays.
**Tastings and Tour stops are likely to change to reflect seasonal produce, and our partners availability.
Skip the line for Madrid’s legendary calamari sandwich. Bite into the city’s most iconic street food in a spot locals have loved for decades.
Experience the ritual of traditionally poured cider, splashed into your glass the Asturian way alongside a hearty slice of Spanish tortilla.
Weave through the heart of historic Madrid, catching stories of the grand Plaza Mayor and vibrant Puerta del Sol between authentic tapas stops.
Explore the charming Literary Quarter (Barrio de las Letras), walking the same streets that inspired literary giants like Cervantes.
End on a sweet high note with classic churros & chocolate Dunk fresh-fried churros into rich, velvety hot chocolate. The perfect Madrid finale!*

We want everyone to enjoy the rich flavors of our local gastronomy, and we’re happy to offer delicious substitutions for vegetarians, those with dairy or gluten intolerance, pregnant guests, and non-drinkers. Please make sure to note any dietary needs in the Special Requirements/Notes section when booking.
However, due to the risk of gluten cross-contamination, we do not recommend our tours for those with celiac disease. Additionally, because of the nature of the venues we visit, there are limited vegan options, and this tour is unfortunately not suitable for vegans
We are locals and love to eat! That’s why we would only take you to places that totally convince us and where we go with our friends and families. No tourist traps
Not all Tours are created equal. Our tours are not standardized, but a real reflection of the delicacies every season has to offer and the creativity of our chefs. We took much time and effort in designing the tours so you can enjoy delicious treats, discover hidden places and submerge in our (food) culture in local hideaways.
Feel welcome and like a local. We have great friendships and exclusive partnerships with restaurants, taverns, and market vendors.
Expert foodie guides. They truly are real professionals and experts on local cuisine!
Much more than wonderful food in interesting places. There’s more to it- it’s about the attitude, about getting a bit closer to our authentic culture and real people!
